Ministry Partnerships

Wycliffe AssociatesWAssociates.jpg

Since 1967, Wycliffe Associates (WA) has supported the worldwide efforts of Bible translation by recruiting and mobilizing lay people to offer practical assistance that frees up Wycliffe missionaries to focus on their own work. Thousands of Wycliffe Associates partners and friends help accelerate translation efforts through dedicated service in numerous areas of ministry. Through WA, volunteers use their skills in hands-on projects that meet the real needs of translators on the mission field. WA also works towards increasing the awareness of Christians across the country that they can be involved in Bible translation from right where they are.

OneStory Partnershipone_story_logo.jpg

Five organizations, including Wycliffe International, Campus Crusade for Christ, International Mission Board, Youth With A Mission, and Trans World Radio have joined together to create a two-year program called OneStory Quest. Together we are working on new strategies and providing resources to reach the remaining Bibleless peoples.

Wycliffe and its affiliate organizations bring expertise in ethnographic and linguistic research and its application to translating the Scriptures, training in translation principles, key term selection, comprehension testing and accuracy review.

“Getting God's Word to people sooner, rather than later—that's one of Wycliffe's primary goals, and OneStory is a major step toward making that goal possible. There are millions of people who still need to hear God speak their language. OneStory's strategy provides culturally appropriate oral Bible storying in the languages of the world's least-reached peoples. OneStory addresses the urgency of giving all peoples the opportunity to know Christ, find hope, grow and disciple others. It's also enabling more of God's people to be more involved in reaching the world with the Word. Wycliffe USA is pleased to be a part of the OneStory partnership.” —Bob Creson, Wycliffe USA PresidentYou've Got the Time

Faith Comes By Hearing

The vision of Faith Comes By Hearing is to bring His Church together and make disciples. To accomplish that vision, Faith Comes By Hearing is committed to putting every translation of the Bible in audio form, and to implementing Faith Comes By Hearing in every church or village in the world, so that all people, especially the 50 percent of the world who cannot read, can hear God's Word in the language in which they pray. Learn more about their listening program and free audio Bibles.

North American Forum of Bible Agencies

Working together in relationship with God, the Forum exists as an expression of unity of purpose and priority: the Word of God, available and used throughout North America—and the world—impacting lives and communities with the transforming power of God which brings life, freedom and peace. Together with churches around North America, the Forum longs for the day when every person in this and every generation will at least have the opportunity to hear and respond to God's Word in a language and medium they understand intrinsically.

The JESUS Film ProjectjesusFilm.jpg

The JESUS Film Project distributes the film "Jesus," a two hour docudrama about the life of Christ based on the gospel of Luke. Since its original release in 1979, this film has been seen in every country and has been translated into many of the languages of the world. The JESUS Film Project partners with Wycliffe to translate the movie script into minority languages. Vernacular Media Specialists sometimes participate in recording voices for the movie translations. This movie gives people around the world the opportunity to encounter the life and message of Jesus in their heart language.

Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship

ocbflogoweb.png Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship (OCBF) exists to "disciple the members of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship so that they are equipped to impact individuals, families, other churches and communities from a Kingdom perspective." Wycliffe and Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship have partnered to launch a nationwide effort to alert African American churches to the needs and opportunities about overseas missions and Bible translation. The partnership leverages Wycliffe's 65 years of expertise in missions and Bible translation with OCBF's ability to mobilize thousands of African American Christians in a culturally relevant way.
