A Sacrifice Worth Making
Although many people in the war-ravaged Democratic Republic of Congo long to read the Bible, many simply cannot afford a copy of God's Word in their own language. But thanks to generous gifts from friends like you, Wycliffe Bible Translators placed five copies of the Ngbaka Bible in each of 300 villages as part of our "Bibles for Congo" project. Now the Ngbaka people in each of these villages have the opportunity to borrow Bibles and read God's Word for themselves—a blessing they truly value.
Recently, Beat, one of the administrative consultants in Congo, was astounded to see eight men outside his office. They had just traveled 60 miles on foot to pick up the five Bibles designated for their village!
Beat commended them for their sacrificial journey, and he also reminded them of the sacrifice made by people like you, whose generosity paid for the Bibles. Your gift is a sacrifice worth making, one that becomes a tremendous blessing to these people who have waited so long to receive God's Word in their heart language. Please continue to pray that God's Word will touch the lives of the Ngbaka people.
