  • 3-4 weeks: June 18 – July 14
  • Approximate Cost: $4,500

With over 800 languages, Papua New Guinea is linguistically the most complex nation of the world. The task of Bible translation in this country is huge, but the need is even greater. This trip emphasizes how many hands with many skills make lighter work of Bible translation.

Orientation: Participants begin with an exciting week of team building and preparation in Azusa, CA.

Field experience: The team will spend 7-10 days in Papua New Guinea engaged in cross-cultural activities including language learning, cultural observations and community service.

Debrief: The team will stay 2 days in Brisbane, Australia, reflecting on their experience and preparing to share their story with others.

If you are interested in languages, excited about reaching the nations and want to walk in the shoes of a translator this trip is for you.

Cameroon-Closed

  • 3-4 weeks: May 28 – June 23
  • Approximate Cost: $4,500

Cameroon is at the crossroads of western and central Africa and represents one of the most strategic areas in the work of Bible translation. This team will see a cross-section of people with a wide range of physical and spiritual needs.

Orientation: Participants begin with an exciting week of team building and preparation in Dallas, Texas.

Field experience: The team will spend 7-10 days in northwest Cameroon engaged in cross-cultural activities including language learning, cultural observations and community service.

Debrief: The team will stay 2 days in Yaoundé, Cameroon, reflecting

Guatemala-Closed

  • 3-4 weeks: May 30 – June 19
  • Approximate Cost: $2,500

Guatemala is rich with beauty, history and cultural diversity. This team will witness the birthplace of the modern Bible translation movement and the impact it has had upon this country.

Orientation: Participants begin with an exciting week of team building and preparation in Orlando, FL.

Field experience: The team will spend 7-10 days engaging people from Guatemala, like the K'anjob'al, in cross-cultural activities like language learning, cultural observations and community service.

Debrief: The team will spend 2 days in a restful location to reflect .

Kenya-Cancelled for 2010

  • 3-4 weeks: June 30 – July 24
  • Approximate Cost: $4,500

Bible Translation for deaf communities is one of the greatest remaining needs around the world. This team will participate in the construction efforts of a center for deaf translation outside of Nairobi.

Orientation: Participants begin with an exciting week of team building and preparation in Dallas, TX

Field Experience: The team will spend 12-14 days engaged in cross-cultural activities while also working hands-on next to Kenyans in completing this center that will touch the lives of many.

Debrief: The team will stay 2 days in a restful location reflecting on their experiences and preparing to share their stories with others.

College Credit
