Pray for the translators

“Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies and tricks of the Devil…In every battle you will need faith as your shield.” (Ephesians 6:11,16, NLT)

Pray for the stamina and health of translators and their families.

Pray that translators will not neglect their family.

Pray that translators will not fall into sin that detracts from their efforts.

Pray for protection for those in dangerous or hostile areas.

Pray against persecution of mother-tongue translators and helpers.

Pray for the translation

“...I have decided to write a careful summary for you, to reassure you of the truth of all you were taught.” (Luke 1:3-4, NLT)

Pray for wisdom in final linguistic decisions and helpful advice from mother-tongue translators and trained consultants.

Pray for the availability of consultants and readers from the community during this critical phase of the translation process.

Pray that church and government approvals may be quickly obtained.

Pray against theft and destruction of computers, printers, homes and translation centers.

Pray for protection from technological failures.

Pray for the accuracy of typesetters and proofreaders and clear, readable books.

Pray for adequate financial resources and supplies for printing.

Pray that there will be no delays or losses during shipping.

Pray for the people group

“Open my eyes to see the wonderful truths in Your law.” (Psalm 119:18, NLT)

Pray that people will read what is being translated and will be enthusiastic for its completion and publication.

Pray against the apathy of local believers who are not accustomed to having Scripture accessible.

Pray that literacy workers are able to encourage the people to read the Scriptures.
