Wycliffe Needs Government Liaisons

Petitioning the Powerful for the Sake of the PowerlessGovernment_ca-RP-ifb-15.jpg

What does government relations have to do with Bible translation? Plenty! The fieldwork of Wycliffe Bible Translators is frequently carried out by partner organizations. Field programs often take place under a formal agreement with one or more national institutions responsible for the educational or social needs of indigenous peoples within that country. Through language-based programs, an affiliate organization assists in the areas of literacy, mother-tongue education, community development and other areas of value to local communities.

“It is often a few people in government who are creating the reality for the masses at the local community level.”
—Mission Strategist
