Vision Tour

Monday through Friday at the top of each hour (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.)
Join one of our friendly guides on a twenty-minute interactive tour of the Discovery Center before exploring on your own. Learn why it’s imperative for people to have the Bible in their own language, discover the huge need for Bible translation that still exists today, and find out how you can get involved. At the end of the tour, feel free to join us for the “Explore More” scavenger hunt, where you’ll track down surprising facts about Bible translation!

Face to Face

Monday through Friday, 1:00 p.m.
Get a glimpse into the personal experiences of Wycliffe staff around the world. Each day, a different missionary speaks on topics such as translation and linguistics, teaching for Wycliffe, or how computer programmers help translation teams. At the end of this thirty-minute presentation, you’ll get a chance to ask questions.

Wycliffe Art Workshop

The Discovery Center is proud to offer fun and educational art workshops this holiday season. Your students will get their hands dirty creating fun Thanksgiving or Christmas-related items, while also learning about Bible translation and the people groups it serves. Workshops are booking now. Call 407-852-3625 to schedule a date and time for your group.

Art workshops last about two hours and cost $10 per student. Moms and teachers who don’t participate in the art projects may sit on the sidelines or visit the Discovery Center at no additional charge.

After the workshop, enjoy lunch at the Café Wycliffe (priced separately) and explore the unique selection of gifts at the Village Shop. End the day by exploring the Discovery Center at no additional charge.

Group sizes start at ten students. We can accommodate up to thirty students.

Steps to Bible Translation (Top ↑)

Discover Bible translation on a deeper level! Learn about the areas of the world where people are still waiting for Scripture. Explore the value of teamwork. And find out how linguists study a culture, create an alphabet, and help people learn to read in their own language. You’ll even get to celebrate as you watch a people group gets God’s Word for the first time! Through this class, you’ll also explore how God can use you right now to help the work of Bible translation. This class lasts two hours and is suitable for elementary-school-age groups of up to thirty students. Boxed lunches (priced separately) are available. $8 per student, $6 per adult

A to Z Adventures in Ethiopia (Top ↑)

Get to know the culture and people groups of Ethiopia—and deepen your passion for missions. Later in the day, you’ll explore the Discovery Center to learn even more about Bible translation. This class runs most weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with a lunch break. Boxed lunches (priced separately) are available. This class is suitable for elementary-school-age groups of fifteen or more students. $8 per student, $6 per adult

Mission Encounter (Top ↑)

Delve into missions, linguistics, and translation in this upper-level class. In the afternoon, you’ll explore the Discovery Center. This class runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with a lunch break. Boxed lunches (priced separately) are available. This class is suitable for groups of fifteen or more and can be tailored to fit age groups from middle-school students through young adults. $8 per student, $6 per adult
