Business Applications Consultant/Trainer

Assists, trains and consults end users in the application of business software.

Business Applications Software Developer

Evaluates, develops, integrates, and installs computer software systems. Communicates with administration and user groups in decision making to ensure that software implementation is consistent with expectations.

Computational Linguist

Responsible for planning research projects and for developing new applications software for use in linguistics, translation, literacy and anthropology.

Computer Center Manager

Trains and supervises staff, maintains equipment and software, advises administration on information technology service requirements.

Computer Maintenance Technician

Responsible for testing, repairing and interfacing computer system components.

Computer Operator

Basic input operator using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access. Will have knowledge of special fonts and key-in techniques.

Computer Project Manager

Prepares and manages overall technical design of computer based systems. Communicates with user groups in decision making, and ensures that all aspects of a successful implementation are addressed.

Computer Services Director

Responsible for directing the staff of a computer support entity.

Computer Technical Writer

Writes clear documentation (tutorials, manuals) for computer users. Writes articles for user-oriented publications.

Database Administrator

Provides the necessary technical support for database management systems and related support systems, such as database servers, data dictionary, data views, and data security management.

Desktop Publishing Specialist

Implements computerized typesetting systems to produce print originals —especially for technical books and New Testaments.

Information Systems Manager

Maintains the operations of an information systems department, supervising software developers, network administrators, and related resource issues.

Information Technology Manager

Manages a department, section or team of IT professionals. Has a high degree of professional IT capability and experience, and good management skills.

Language Applications Consultant/Trainer

Assists, trains and consults end users in the use of software especially created for the linguistic/translation task.

Language Applications Software Developer

Does analysis, develops new applications software and writes programs to meet the needs for the linguistic/translation task.

Multi-Skilled Computer Specialist

Has working level skills in management, consulting/training, programming/analysis and hardware maintenance.

Network Administrator

Administers all aspects of wide area and local area network resources, ensuring responsive, reliable and secure operations.

Radio/Electronics Technician

Responsible for maintaining and repairing electronic and electro-mechanical equipment, including radio transmitters and receivers.

Software/Data Librarian


Collects, catalogues, safeguards and distributes computer software and data.

Systems Analyst

Analyzes, plans, and designs information technology applications to meet user needs. Work is directed primarily at design and requirements rather than actual software development.

Telephone Technician

Responsible for maintaining and repairing telephone equipment at a Center.

Web Author

Has creative ability and technical expertise to develop and maintain websites.
