Missionaries go to great lengths to write and publish
newsletters. Don't treat these as junk mail. Pray about the requests and
expect God to act.
Some missionaries tend to be shy about their financial
needs. Ask them directly if their needs are being met.
When you've finished reading that new book, consider sending it to a missionary.
Nowhere in the world are bookstores, especially Christian ones, more abundant
than they are back home.
Before sending anything to your missionaries, be sure
to check with them about any special postal rules or restrictions where
they are serving.
Decaffeinated coffee and tea are usually not found overseas and make a
nice surprise in the mail.
Send wedding invitations overseas, even though you know full well that
your missionaries can't attend. They appreciate being invited because
they know you're thinking about them.
Encourage your missionary to have a daily devotional by sending a devotional
book which has been a blessing to you.
Many everyday medicines available over- the-counter back home are unavailable
overseas, even with a prescription. Ask your missionary which ones he
needs and send some of the more common ones.
Respond to your missionaries' letters. Missionaries need to be reassured
that people are praying for hem.
Don't be shy about sharing your prayer needs with your missionary. Partnerships
are two-way streets.
