Participation > Prayer Project

The purpose of the prayer ministries is to encourage and channel prayer for the Bibleless peoples of the world and for members of Wycliffe and affiliated organizations involved in the task of the Bible translation.

Bibleless Peoples Prayer Project

One prayer involvement option is to commit to pray daily/weekly for a specific people group until they get the New Testament in their heart language. When you sign up for the Bibleless people Prayer Project, you will receive information about one people/language group, suggestions for how to pray from them, and occasional updates of the progress until the New Testament is translated and dedicated for this language.

The Intercessor

Another prayer involvement option is to receive the bimonthly prayer and praise letter called The Intercessor. This prayer tool provides specific and general requests for the worldwide work of Bible translation through Wycliffe and our affiliate organizations. Each issue also reports answers to previous requests, for the encouragement of those praying and so God will get the praise. The Intercessor also gives the names of translation projects within three-four years of completion. It is during these final years where additional prayer support is needed to overcome the many hindrances and spiritual opposition that arise at the final stages of all translation projects.
