Brian has been involved in ministry for much of his career. He was active in cross-cultural work and Kingdom business ventures in North Africa for more than a decade. Next Brian served as the Executive Director of YouVersion — maker of the Bible App — for 11 years. During his tenure at YouVersion, the Bible App was installed on more than 500 million unique devices worldwide and offered the Bible in 1,800 languages. Currently Brian serves as the Executive Director of Bridgetown, a church built around the idea of practicing the way of Jesus, together in Portland, Oregon. He also continues to serve as an advisor to a variety of ministries such as 24-7 Prayer USA, BibleProject, YouVersion and Spoken Gospel. 

Brian lives with his wife, Maureen, and their four children in Portland, Oregon.
