Florence has been the communications coordinator for Africa and the executive assistant to the director of Wycliffe Global Alliance in Africa since 2011. With over 15 years of experience working in multicultural settings, she is widely travelled and has a good grasp of the global socio-economic landscape. She is a good trainer, a strategic thinker and an expert in communication, relationship building and customer relations.
Florence is passionate about leadership development, and is currently involved in a leadership development program exploring the issue of culture and leadership in Africa. She also contributes toward raising children into ethical, responsible and patriotic Kenyans by staying involved in her neighborhood, teaching Sunday school and leading other social programs.
Florence’s previous board and committee experience includes serving as the board chair for By Grace Children’s Home and Schools, a member of the board for the Kambui Girls High School, a School Support Committee member for Logos Christian School, a member of the Ridgeways Baptist Church Governing Council and a member of the Tunzwa Advisory Council.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from Daystar University and attended Oshwal College Institute of Management and Information Systems.
Florence’s hobbies include sewing, knitting, crotchet, enjoying the outdoors (she has climbed Mt. Kenya) and reading. She lives and works in Nairobi, Kenya, with her husband and three children.
