“The problem is that Napo Kichwa people do not know who God is or his love for them,” said a project adviser. “Only through God’s Word can they get to know him and find peace.”
A team of five translators previously finished the Gospel of Mark as well as 16 booklets of Old Testament stories. Now, the team will focus on the book of Acts and the stories of David.
Acts was requested by local church leaders to help people grow in their knowledge of God and learn about the early church. The leaders also believe it will aid them as they minister to the deepest issues of their community, such as alcoholism and abusive behavior in families.
Printed Bible stories with illustrations are easy to read and they’re helping to grow the community’s interest in Scripture.
Your prayers and investment will give the Napo Kichwa people more access to God’s Word in their own language!
Funds in excess of the current need will be applied to a similar project or to future needs within the same project.
