Martha Matzke, a communications coordinator in the Pacific, discusses her work in the region and the people she met at her home church there. When literacy classes began, a grandmother and wife of the pastor of the local church learned how to read for the first time. Martha recalls how touching it was when this woman was able to stand up in front of her congregation and read Scripture aloud in her own language for the very first time. Because of these literacy classes, she now has the ability to read and understand Scripture for herself. Praise God!
