Did you know the Bible wasn’t always in English? It’s easy to forget that people like you and I haven’t always been able to read God’s Word. Back in the 14th century, John Wycliffe decided that he didn’t want to have to learn about God only through his priest; he wanted to learn for himself!
So John Wycliffe translated the Bible into English, believing that every man, woman and child should be able to read God’s Word for themselves.
As you read about John Wycliffe, remember to pray for other languages around the world (at least 2,000 of them!) that are still waiting for a Bible translation to begin.
