Facing Tragedy: A Theology of Suffering

Sometimes tragedy strikes with no explanation. How do you usually respond in the midst of grief and trials?

On July 18, 1998, John and Bonnie Nystrom heard the tragic news that a tsunami completely destroyed the village where they worked. Though they grieved the losses, John and Bonnie knew that this wasn’t the end of the story God was writing for the translation project.

Join John and Bonnie, who currently serve as translation advisors for the Aitape West cluster project in Papua New Guinea and serve on Wycliffe USA’s board of directors, as they help you think about your own theology of suffering.

When:  Thursday, May 21 at 8 p.m. ET
