Jungle Adventures, Office Hours, and Hospitality: The Life of a Language Surveyor and a Stay at Home Mom
How do we know which languages need translation? How do translators choose the best dialect? What causes the death of a language? These questions are both cultural and linguistic, and their answers differ in each context. As a language surveyor in Papua New Guinea (PNG), North Cady studies the overlap of culture and language in order to define the remaining translation need, providing vital information for Bible translators. His wife Amanda, aside from working with prospective missionaries and language interns, has developed a habit of hospitality, providing countless opportunities to share the gospel with local people.
North and Amanda are from the Pacific Northwest and have been serving in PNG for three years.
Join in to hear how God has been using them in PNG to further Bible translation and disciple local people!
