Jacob and Karen have been members of Wycliffe for over 20 years. Their anchor project has been in service to the Lo'Am* people (part of the Seland* Cluster Project).

For the last few years, Jacob has worked as a Scripture Engagement Consultant, both in Westlandia* and in the larger region. This role, supporting and advising translation work, fits well with his continued service on the Service Group Leadership Team.

Meanwhile, Jacob has been teaching at a Christian International School. Not only does this provide the family's visa platform for living in the country, but it provides a direct way to build relationships and support the work of colleagues serving the people in this highly strategic area of the world. For the current '25-'26 school year, Jacob will continue teaching the social studies courses he had last year, though he is adding a course on community development as well.

Karen continues to mentor younger fieldworkers, serve in the music ministry at the international fellowship and at the school, and also provide health counseling for folks in the community. She has also helped launch a program to help educate Third Culture Kids (TCKs) and their families at the school.
