Nate & Elizabeth Marti | Wycliffe Bible Translators
The Wycliffe Ministry of

Nate & Elizabeth Marti

God is raising up an increasing number of Central Africans with the vision to translate the Bible into their own mother-tongue languages. This is an exciting time to be a partner in the Central African Bible translation movement where over 50 Bible-less languages still wait!

God has opened many doors in miraculous ways and, after years of serving elsewhere and preparing, the Martis were able to move to CAR in May of 2017. There the team works hand-in-hand with the local Bible translation organization in written and oral translation, audio recording of Scriptures and Jesus Film dubbing.

Elizabeth is the director of the team and Nate works as an IT Specialist and is helping to plan future construction.

See a short video with the Martis here:

The Martis were interviewed on Wycliffe Live in March 2019. The invitation page says:

"Nate and Elizabeth live in Bangui, capital of the Central African Republic, a country in its 5th year of ongoing conflict and on the US government's "Do Not Travel" list. So why and how do they live there with their two children?

Join us to hear how Nate and Elizabeth met and decided to work in CAR, how they maintain spiritual vitality and physical safety, and how God has joined the foreign missionaries with the Central Africans in a powerful team for Bible translation. Nate currently works in IT and facilities planning and Elizabeth is the team Director."

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its missionaries to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts missionaries’ ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the missionaries receive as “take-home pay” for their daily living expenses.
