Ken and Marta Morton | Wycliffe Bible Translators
The Wycliffe Ministry of

Ken and Marta Morton

Ken and Marta Morton joined Wycliffe Bible Translators in 1992. Their ministry has spanned 5 countries on 4 continents. Ken has served as a pilot/mechanic in Brazil and Niger, Director of Technical Services in Cameroon, and Director of Training for International Media Services (IMS) in the U.S. Marta has filled various support roles including starting a parent-run grade school in Cameroon, leading Bible studies, and home schooling their boys when required.

More than 4 billion people in the world are oral learners who either cannot or prefer not to read. IMS exists to communicate the translated message of God's love in ways that language communities can understand and access. This can be through audio recordings, dubbed videos, storytelling, music, drama, and dance in the local styles.

Ken now serves as the IMS Liaison for Africa Area. He works with SIL Africa and their staff to provide vision and leadership for media development and services to language programs throughout Africa. The purpose is to broaden the impact of Bible translations through media that is Biblically accurate, culturally acceptable, and owned by the local people. This includes empowering nationals with skills necessary to do this in their own communities.

Please prayerfully consider joining their Wycliffe ministry team through prayer and/or financial partnership.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its missionaries to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts missionaries’ ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the missionaries receive as “take-home pay” for their daily living expenses.
