Solomon & Alison Ngallaba | Wycliffe Bible Translators
The Wycliffe Ministry of

Solomon & Alison Ngallaba

Solomon and Alison are serving in Tanzania, East Africa. Alison began working in Tanzania as a single young woman in 2006. She met Solomon while serving there. They were married in 2012 and returned to Tanzania to serve together as a family.

Solomon is a third generation believer who grew up with the Bible in his native language of Sukuma. His grandfather, one of the first believers, preached the Gospel from the Sukuma Scriptures; his parents raised their family reading from the Sukuma Bible daily. Solomon's passion is to see that other people groups in his country also have access to Scripture in a language they can understand.

Solomon is a media specialist. Providing heart-language Scripture in audio or video form is at the heart of Solomon's ministry. His target is to reach oral people groups by presenting the Gospel message through sight and sound.

Alison is a linguist and literacy specialist. She advises on the development of alphabets and writing systems for languages just starting translation. She also develops teaching materials. More recently, she sensed God's prompting to study Scripture typesetting. After this prompting, she learned that ten New Testaments are nearing completion in Tanzania and will soon need typesetting!

We invite you to help reach the Bible-less by partnering with them in their Wycliffe ministry through prayer, financial giving, advocacy, and encouragement.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its missionaries to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts missionaries’ ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the missionaries receive as “take-home pay” for their daily living expenses.
