Lamont (Mont) & Shannon Weniger

Mont and Shannon served in Papua New Guinea from 2010 to 2019 as Children's Home Parents. They cared for the teens of Bible translators, and other-missions’ parents, who were serving in remote locations during school terms.

In 2020, Mont and Shannon changed roles to serve with Workforce Mobilization team, identifying potential candidates to serve with Wycliffe. They loved finding the right people for the right roles in support of Bible translation. Mont and Shannon retired May 31, 2026.

Please pray for Mont as he deals with health issues due to his cancer journey. Please pray for them both as they caretake others and find balance in retirement.

All contributions will be given to the Wycliffe retirement pension fund of Lamont and Shannon Weniger.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget
Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its missionaries to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts missionaries’ ability to begin and remain in their assignment. This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the missionaries receive as “take-home pay” for their daily living expenses.
