Katie felt called to serve with the global body of Christ to advance Bible translation at an early age. After a God-designed detour over several decades, she is thrilled to be jumping feet first into the ministry of Wycliffe Bible Translators. Katie has a heart to help get the Bible to every heart, everywhere. Having gained many skills and experiences as a military spouse and home educator with degrees in the vastly different fields of Linguistics and Game Art and Development, Katie will be working remotely with the Global Sign Language Team where she can utilize a variety of those skills.

 

God likewise called her husband, Jesse, to missions, but with a detour through a military career as a Linguist, during which he gained many new skills which will be invaluable in Wycliffe. Having retired from this military career, Jesse is currently finishing his Masters of Divinity in Missions and Intercultural Studies coursework as part of the preparation for his own future Wycliffe role.
