Dale and Debbie Newby | Wycliffe Bible Translators
The Wycliffe Ministry of

Dale and Debbie Newby

God spent years preparing Dale and Debbie Newby to take on their roles at JAARS.

JAARS, a partner of Wycliffe, provides critical equipment, training, communications, transportation, and technical support services for the work of translating the Bible. After visiting JAARS, Dale and Debbie began to understand why the Bible needs to be translated into the "heart" language of every people group in the world. They became passionate about Bible translation.

Dale was impressed by the computer software and systems in use at JAARS; God opened his eyes as to how He could use Dale's skills and experience to support Bible translation. Computers improve the quality and speed of translating the Bible into new languages. It is far easier today than in the past, but all that technology still needs someone to troubleshoot and maintain it. Dale is serving as an IT Network Engineer in GTIS System Administration at JAARS. He is keeping the computers running to support missionaries and Bible translation throughout the world.

Recruiting new missionaries and prayer and financial partners are important to the work of Wycliffe. Bible translation can't take place if there are no linguists to be sent abroad and partners to support them. The JAARS museums help recruit missionaries and partners by educating visitors and by chronicling the story of how God is working through Bible translation. Debbie is serving as the Museums Manager/Curator of the Museum of the Alphabet and the Mexico-Cárdenas Museum at JAARS.

Please prayerfully consider joining their Wycliffe ministry team through prayer and/or financial partnership.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its missionaries to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts missionaries’ ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the missionaries receive as “take-home pay” for their daily living expenses.
