Partnering with the Havu

Prayer opens doors to Bible translation

The Havu people of the Democratic Republic of Congo are still waiting for a translation project to begin in their language, but hope is on the horizon!

After a native Havu speaker regularly attended Grace Community Church in Jackson, Mississippi, and shared about the need for a Bible in his mother tongue, a special relationship formed between this church and the group of 700,000 speakers in central Africa. Praise God! Grace Community wants to partner with the Havu and help provide resources for future translation work.

  • Pray that God would use this special relationship to His Glory.

  • Ask God to begin translation work soon for the Havu.

  • Pray that God would move more churches to partner with Bibleless groups.

Make a Prayer Connection: As you pray for more churches to partner with Bibleless people groups, watch this video and consider whether God might be prompting you to share it with your church or someone you know.
