Translating God's Word for three language communities
“The impact of the translation and storytelling is contagious — each group in the cluster sees what is happening in the other languages,” says a project adviser for the Bantu Coastal Cluster.
The Batanga, Iyasa and Kwasio language communities have much in common, including their linguistic similarities and location near the coast of Cameroon. Now, they each have a team working to make God’s Word accessible in their heart language!
The three teams are at different stages, but because of their similarities, they share knowledge and benefit from working together.
They are using oral Bible storytelling to impact people and build a desire for God’s Word in their communities. The Batanga are launching their storytelling program, while among the Iyasa, the stories are already so popular that they are setting up storytelling clubs to maintain momentum!
The Kwasio team recently published print and audio formats of the Gospel of Luke, and they plan to use it to produce the “JESUS” film.
Your prayers and investment will impact the people of the Bantu Coastal Cluster with the life-transforming power of God’s Word!
Funds in excess of the current need will be applied to a similar project or to future needs within the same project.
