“The need to read and listen to the Good News in the local language is huge among the Budu people,” said a project coordinator.
We are working with local partners to train staff, engage the Budu-Nita community and translate portions of the New Testament!
During this one-year project, the team will translate 1 Corinthians, Galatians and Philippians, and begin drafting 2 Corinthians. These will be added to the many books they have already completed. The previously translated Gospels of Matthew and John will also be made available in booklet form.
In the meantime, God’s Word is already impacting Budu-Nita people! During community testing sessions, translated Scripture is read with speakers of the language to check how well it is understood. One Budu woman expressed, “We have never so deeply understood the Word of God, like we just did when it was read in our mother tongue.”
Your prayers and investment will help bring the life-changing power of God’s Word to the Budu-Nita people!
Funds in excess of the current need will be applied to a similar project or to future needs within the same project.
