Producing more of God’s Word in their sign language
Colombian Sign Language
Growing up, Sebastian knew little about Jesus.
But then he started attending a Christian school for Deaf Colombian children like himself. There, he started learning about Jesus’ earthly ministry, and in his teenage years, he embraced Christ as Savior.
Those around Sebastian noticed immediate changes in him. He was much happier, for one thing. However as time went by, he struggled in his daily walk with the Lord.
That is, until he encountered portions of God’s Word in Colombian Sign Language. “Through the translated Scriptures, I began to really appreciate what knowing Jesus means,” he said recently. “Now I see that God has a plan for my life, and it is through knowing his Word.”
You can help fuel efforts to produce more Scripture in Colombian Sign Language!
In this project, staff plan to translate and publish eight chapters from Genesis, the Gospel of Mark and 1 Corinthians 7-16. They’ll also complete two Scripture-based video series.
Your prayers and gifts will help Deaf people in Colombia experience God’s Word in a language and form that touches their hearts!
Funds in excess of the current need will be applied to a similar project or to future needs within the same project.
