Gangam | Wycliffe Bible Translators

Producing Old Testament Scripture in their language

Project Description

Sadja, a Gangam translator, believes Old Testament Scripture will have a significant impact on his community.

But while he’s been translating God’s Word, he’s discovered another benefit — the project has deepened his own relationship with the Lord.

As Sadja and his teammates make progress on the Old Testament, it enriches their understanding of God, as well as the rest of his Word. They’re eager to produce more Scripture in Gangam so that others can experience this joy.

In this project, the translation team will publish the books of Ruth, Nehemiah and Jonah, as well as the stories of Abraham and Joseph from Genesis. To reach a wider audience, published selections will be produced in multiple formats — print, audio and digitally on a Scripture app.

Additionally, the team will draft the remaining portions of Genesis.

Will you join them in this important work?

Your prayers and gifts will help the Gangam people gain access to more of God’s Word — in a language and form that speaks to their hearts!

Funds in excess of the current need will be applied to a similar project or to future needs within the same project.
