Revising and updating the New Testament translation
“Now I see that Jesus is special. He is the Son of God,” said a young Bible student after reading some revised passages from the Gospel of Mark. “Tomorrow I am going to share this with the congregation where I am helping.”
We are partnering with a well-trained team to revise the Kaiwá New Testament — originally published in 1986. The revised translation will be more consistent with the recent Kaiwá Old Testament translation.
The Kaiwá community is excited about the revision and its impact on society. It will be easier to read and more accepted in the growing church. With updated language, it will also appeal to the younger generation.
The strength of the team, along with community backing, promises to quicken the pace. The team plans to complete the revision in less than four years.
Your prayers and gifts will help Kaiwá people understand God’s Word in the language that best speaks to their heart!
Funds in excess of the current need will be applied to a similar project or to future needs within the same project.
