Komo 2

Translating God’s Word and equipping local staff

Komo 2

Project Description

“The Komo people have been waiting a long time for the New Testament in their language,” said a Komo project coordinator. “They are already preparing to receive the New Testament with open arms.”

We are partnering with a local team to translate portions of the New Testament into Kikomo, the language of the Komo people!

Much translation work has already been done on the New Testament. In this one-year project, the team will complete, print and distribute 1-2 Corinthians, Galatians and Philippians. The affordable copies will also be used to obtain community feedback on the translation.

Through training workshops, the project will focus on helping the local Bible translation agency as they work toward building their capacity and operating more independently.

Your prayers and investment will help the Komo people gain access to God’s Word in their heart language!

Funds in excess of the current need will be applied to a similar project or to future needs within the same project.
