Several years ago, when Northern Nuna church leaders heard that God’s Word had been translated into a neighboring language, they went to the local Bible translation organization to express their need and desire for Scripture in their language as well.
The church leaders maintained their enthusiasm as God’s Word started to become available. When the Gospel of Mark was printed, the copies sold out immediately!
During this two-year project, we are partnering with the local team that is in the final stages of translating the New Testament into the Northern Nuni language. Staff will finish up their work on the remaining 17 books. Then they will typeset the entire New Testament to prepare it for future publication.
But the Nuna people don’t have to wait for the completion of the New Testament to access Scripture in their language! As they are completed, the books of Matthew, John and Galatians will be printed. The team will also release recordings of Matthew and John.
Funds in excess of the current need will be applied to a similar project or to future needs within the same project.
