Translating Old Testament portions for five people groups
Papua New Guinea
“God’s book must be translated into the words of the people for them to really understand what the Lord wants them to do.” This thought came to a Waskia pastor who, in the early years of his preaching, would gaze out at his congregation and see blank looks on people’s faces.
So he dedicated himself to working as a part of the Waskia translation team.
We're partnering with five local teams, including the Waskia team, to translate Old Testament portions into their languages!
Ever since New Testaments were completed in each language, these teams have been working on their own, with the ultimate goal of translating the Old Testament.
This project will bring them together to work in a cluster approach, so they can share their knowledge and experience, solve common problems and encourage one another.
Your prayers and gifts will help the people of the Northeastern Cluster gain access to more of God’s Word in their languages!
Funds in excess of the current need will be applied to a similar project or to future needs within the same project.
