Recently the Saxwè Bible translation team tested a draft of the book of Revelation with local speakers.
Many of the participants were amazed at the clarity and naturalness of the translation.
“I understand the Saxwè version of the New Testament better than the French version that I used to read,” one man said.
So far, team members have finished translating more than 20 New Testament books. Now your help is needed as they work to complete the remaining four books — Romans, 2 Corinthians, Ephesians and Hebrews. By the end of this three-year project, the team will publish the entire New Testament in print, audio and digital formats.
Local church leaders believe the community will be transformed as more people hear and read translated Scripture in their language. “This will be a key,” a project coordinator said, “to enabling the Saxwè to trust in the Lord.”
Your prayers and gifts will help this people group access God’s Word in a language that speaks to their hearts!
Funds in excess of the current need will be applied to a similar project or to future needs within the same project.
