Lino survived persecution in Sudan, always believing that people could have a better life if they had access to Scripture in their own language. And for decades, he had the opportunity to encourage literacy efforts in his community and even help a Bible translation project.
A group of Wycliffe staff and partners traveled to Guatemala and saw the history of Bible translation work among the Akateko, and the community’s joy upon celebrating the complete Bible in their language!
Bible translation doesn’t only impact a community receiving God’s Word — it affects the translators, too! As Eddie translated for a language in Papua New Guinea, he realized the depth and richness of God’s Word.
