Taking the Next Step

Taking the Next Step

You never know when your actions will have a life-changing impact on someone. Robert Buntin didn’t grow up in a Christian home, but his life began to transform when someone invited him to church. “[He] saw something in me that I didn’t see in myself,” Robert said. Conversely, his wife, Amanda Buntin, doesn’t remember a time when she wasn’t in church. She saw first-hand the impact of missions work when she went on short-term trips. They grew up in completely different environments with different life experiences, but watch their story to see how God perfectly prepared them and shaped their hearts to serve together in missions.

Beauty From the Ashes

Beauty From the Ashes

Beth Fuller realized that God couldn't work in her life until she gave up her dream to him. Sometimes that means the dream dies and becomes ashes. But God can take those ashes and make something beautiful out of them.

A Focus on Literacy

A Focus on Literacy

In many language communities, Bibles end up not being used — not because people don’t want Scripture but because of low literacy rates. Without literacy training and classes, it can be difficult for communities to enjoy reading. Literacy opens the door to education and Scripture engagement. That’s why the Keliko people of South Sudan, who recently received the New Testament in their language, are focusing on literacy in education and the church by hosting literacy workshops.

Strengthened by God’s Word

Strengthened by God’s Word

When Bob and Nancy Weber began work with the Rapa Nui people of Easter Island, the language was primarily oral, with no alphabet or writing system. The language was endangered, and there was no way to preserve it or the island’s culture for future generations. Following God’s calling, the Webers began to work on a translation project that would take 17 years. And as work progressed, God began to transform hearts and lives across Easter Island.

God’s Word to Their Hearts

God’s Word to Their Hearts

God often reveals himself to us through his written Word. But throughout Kenya, people don’t have access to Scripture. They found that they couldn’t relate to a God who didn’t speak their language.

Changed Lives

Changed Lives

Scripture says that “even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes” (Ephesians 1:4, NLT). But imagine that you’d never heard that — that you didn’t know God made you in his image. You’d never know your value and that your life has purpose in Christ. So many around the world — who don’t have a word of Scripture in their own language — are missing out on God’s love and the value he’s placed on their lives. But you can help change that. This summer, let’s bring the Word of God to those still waiting for it! Will you join us?

Landing in the Right Spot

Landing in the Right Spot

Matt Cousins had two passions as a child: a love for Jesus and a love of airplanes. When he met a missionary pilot at a summer camp as a child, he began to feel prompted to pursue a career in aviation. Though his childhood call was to become a missionary pilot, Matt’s career led him in a different direction.
