Deborah Crough

For more than 75 years, Wycliffe Bible Translators has worked with the global body of Christ to advance Bible translation, making it possible for all language communities to encounter the fullness of God within their culture and context. At least 2,000 languages around the world are still waiting for a translation project to start.

Deborah Crough serves on the Wycliffe Global Alliance team. Since her acceptance as a member of Wycliffe USA in 1984 (along with her husband Dave, now deceased), she has held assignments in Dallas, Papua New Guinea, Cameroon, and Canada. She has worked in communications as a feature writer and editor. She has two adult children and three grandchildren.

In 2007 Deb and husband Dave produced a coffee table book for Wycliffe called Eye to Eye, Heart to Heart—highlighting Vision 2025. Deb and Dave worked with author Kirk Franklin on his book titled Towards Global Missional Leadership (TGML) published in 2017. Deb went on to work with Kirk Franklin and Susan Van Wynen on A Missional Leadership History, the Journey from Wycliffe Bible Translators to the Wycliffe Global Alliance, published in 2022. She then worked with Kirk Franklin and Paul Bendor-Samuel on The Mission Matrix, published in 2024, followed by Kirk Franklin's book Collaborative Missional Leadership, published in 2025. She is currently working on Franklin's latest book Global Missional Leadership, an update of TGML.
