Lee and Shanon want to see God’s Word available to those who don’t yet have it in a language that speaks to their heart. They have worked with Wycliffe in Africa since 1993: in Togo, Benin, Senegal, and currently in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). After last living in Bunia, DRC, for four years, they now live in Salem, Oregon, but Lee continues to work fulltime with Congolese translators in the DRC through a combination of remote work, real-time consulting via video link, and annual trips to Bunia. As a translation consultant, Lee also helps to develop Bible translation resources and trains Bible translators. Wycliffe Ministry Budget
Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
