Mel has been working at Wycliffe USA headquarters since 1992, first in southern California, now in central Florida. He has worked on many internal software applications, assisting a variety of departments vital to the administration necessary for facilitating the translation of God's word all around the world: computer programming that speaks to the heart!
Since October 2025, Mel has been working for SIL, Wycliffe's primary partner, doing similar work in a new context, but still supporting the translation of God's Word into languages that people understand best.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget
Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
