Daryl & Sun Young | Wycliffe Bible Translators
The Wycliffe Ministry of

Daryl & Sun Young

As a WBT/JAARS missionary pilot-mechanic, it is Daryl’s privilege and responsibility to support the work of Bible Translation by providing safe and reliable transportation into the remote areas where translators, language specialists, literacy workers and other missionaries are living and working. And as Aviation Manager, Daryl provides leadership and oversight to the Aviation Department consisting of 5 mission families, 4 employees, 2 bases and 3 aircraft - 2 airplanes and 1 helicopter.
It is a joy for the Youngs to have a small, but very important part in what God is doing in Cameroon and central Africa. In addition to providing air transport for Wycliffe colleagues, the Aviation Department is also available to serve other Christian missions. Their ministries include evangelism, pastoral and leadership training, medical mission work, community development and church planting. And frequently the department is called upon by missionaries and Cameroonians alike to assist in medical emergency flights, easing suffering and often saving lives.
Sun keeps busy managing the Young home and schedules, with a lot of driving their children to and fro. She works part-time in support of Rain Forest International School (RFIS), where she is the Public Relations Assistant to the Director, Finance Office Assistant, and this year, the High School Running Club Coordinator. RFIS is the mission middle and high school where the Young children attend - Hannah, Caleb and Abby. Wycliffe missionaries founded the school and Wycliffe remains a principal partner among the many missions served by the school’s excellent provision of education to mission families and non-mission families, ex-patriot and African.
Please consider joining their Wycliffe ministry team through prayer and/or financial partnership.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its missionaries to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts missionaries’ ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the missionaries receive as “take-home pay” for their daily living expenses.
