Allan and his wife Betty were with Wycliffe for 35 years – 23 of those years in the Philippines, followed by 10 years at the main office in Dallas. Allan’s main role was providing linguistic and computer support for translators, and Betty’s was teaching instrumental music at Faith Academy. Prior to this, they spent several years in the Ayta Mag-anchi translation project, which in 2005 was brought to completion. When they moved to Dallas in 2012, Allan continued in computer support and developed a way to help translators check their translations for consistency with the Hebrew text. In 2022, Betty began to develop health issues, so at that time they retired to let Allan be available full time at home.

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
