The Word of God is how we get to know God and learn about His plans for us and for the world. It's also how we learn about God's love for us and His plan of salvation. Wycliffe’s vision is to bring the Word of God to every person in a language they know and understand best.
From 2003 to 2026, God graciously allowed Joe to assist the work of Bible translation. During that time he saw the value and importance of Bible translation, and the fruit that God brought from that work. Joe served Bible translation by producing Prayer Cards, Response Prayer Cards, Invitation to Partnership brochures, and Newsletters for Wycliffe members. These vital resources helped members raise their financial support and engage the public about the importance of Bible translation. Additionally, Joe spent time in Papua New Guinea creating Language Maps to show the boundaries of where each of the 800+ languages of PNG were located. After that, Joe worked with Summer Institute of Linguistics (SIL) as a cartographer, helping maintain Language maps published in the Ethnologue.

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
