THE WYCLIFFE MINISTRY OF

Doyle & Carol Peterson

Doyle & Carol Peterson

Carol and Doyle each grew up in missions-minded families and accepted Christ before their teen years. They were each sent into missions by their home churches in 1982 and met in North Carolina while serving with JAARS, Wycliffe’s partner for technical services.

The Petersons have served in Togo, Africa, at the international support centres in Texas and North Carolina, and in the Wycliffe Canada headquarters in Calgary.

Carol has worked as a travel consultant at JAARS and in the finance office of Wycliffe Canada, processing donations for missionaries and projects. Doyle serves the global efforts of Wycliffe and key partners, as a strategy and planning consultant, to develop long-range plans for reaching remaining languages that do not yet have God’s Word. He often mentors younger leaders as the Bible translation ministry expands globally."

The Petersons have three adult children and nine grandchildren. They are active in the community and in their local church, where Doyle has served as Sunday school teacher and chair of the board of elders.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
