Bill and Sally began serving with SIL in 1988, moving their family to the Peruvian Amazon to work alongside the Amahuaca community to translate Scripture into their language. For 20 years, the family served with language programs throughout Peru, believing every community benefits from Scripture in the language they know best. Last year, they held the completed Amahuaca New Testament in their hands — grateful to have played a small part in bringing it to reality.
In 2011, Bill and Sally relocated to Lancaster, SC, where Bill took on the role of Scripture Access Coordinator, overseeing both print and digital Scripture. As digital access has become one of the most significant ways people engage with Scripture, his work expanded to researching and coordinating Scripture access on computers, phones, and other devices — reflected in his current title, Digital Publishing Specialist.
Sally spent several years as Leadership Development Coordinator for the Americas Area, partnering part-time with a team to build training for leaders across the Americas. Today she works part-time in partner communications and devotes much of her time to homeschooling her granddaughter, while staying active in her local church — singing in the choir, leading women's Bible studies, and other discipleship ministries.

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.
This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
