Jonathan and Jenny Fix

The Fixes’ desire and call is to eradicate the Bible-less community. To work toward this goal, Jonathan and Jenny joined Wycliffe in 2013. They began serving as linguists and Bible translation advisors in Papua New Guinea in 2015. Through these roles, they are helping to translate the Holy Scriptures into languages that still do not have access to God’s word in a language that speaks to the heart.

To fulfill these roles well, they have both received training for their passions within this work. Jenny received her M.A. in Applied Linguistics from Dallas International University and is passionate about helping translation teams with linguistic issues. Jonathan received his M.A. in Ancient Philology focusing on teaching the Biblical Languages from the Polis Institute and loves equipping nationals to do the work of Bible translation.

The Fixes are currently continuing their service in training other missionaries and preparing to return to Papua New Guinea. They need a full financial partnership team before they can return to their assignments. Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its missionaries to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts missionaries’ ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the missionaries receive as “take-home pay” for their daily living expenses.

Launch Expense Account

Wycliffe establishes the Launch Expense Account for setup needs beyond recurring ministry and living expenses.

Examples of what these funds cover are training and orientation courses, airfare, visas, immunizations, language learning, work permits, house setup, vehicle, equipment purchases, shipping, etc.
