The Wycliffe Ministry of

Jay & Susan Jenkins

Jay and Sue Jenkins worked as linguist-translators among the Wamey people in Senegal and Guinea, West Africa for over 30 years. Genesis and the New Testament were dedicated in both Guinea and Senegal in December of 2018 and January 2019. They returned to the States in 2019 and continued to work from a distance with help from Pioneer Bible Translators. For the next five years they worked to create helps, such as phone Apps, to better equip and engage the Wamey people in the use of their mother tongue Scriptures. Currently, Sue is working with Wycliffe and All the Word to set up TaBiThA, a computer-based translation program that will help to create first drafts in many of the 800 languages still without Scripture. This program will produce a first draft in 1/5 the time!

Grandparents to six grandsons and three granddaughters they are delighted to be able to provide a home in New Hampshire where their three "missionary kids" can come gather with their families.

They invite you to prayerfully consider partnering with their Wycliffe ministry. Their desire is to continue to use their training and experience to help complete the task of getting Scripture translated into every language of the world.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget
Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its missionaries to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts missionaries’ ability to begin and remain in their assignment. This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the missionaries receive as “take-home pay” for their daily living expenses.
