THE WYCLIFFE MINISTRY OF

Jonathan & Karen Coblentz

Jonathan & Karen Coblentz

Jonathan and Karen have served in various countries around the world. For the first 11 years, Jonathan worked as a multi-skilled computer specialist, while Karen worked in mission schools, supporting both missionary and national children. For the past 21 years, Jonathan has been part of the Writing Systems Technology team, helping to advance Bible translation and publication for complex writing systems that use non-Latin scripts. Working with many translation teams, his responsibilities included engineering fonts, programming keyboards and writing software conversion files for over 240 languages across Asia and parts of Africa.

During retirement, Jonathan and Karen look forward to volunteering with Wycliffe as God and their health permit. Any contributions should be “Preferenced for the Wycliffe retirement income of Jonathan and Karen Coblentz”. They would appreciate your prayers, especially for Jonathan’s eyesight and autoimmune issues.

Wycliffe Ministry Budget

Wycliffe establishes a Ministry Budget for its members to reflect recurring expenses related to family factors and their geographic location of service. Giving to Wycliffe directly impacts members' ability to begin and remain in their assignment.

This monthly budget covers ministry-related expenses, insurance and retirement, social security and taxes, and Wycliffe administrative costs. The remainder is what the members receive as "take-home pay" for their daily living expenses.
