Since 2009, Kevin and Gertrude have served together in Papua New Guinea. Gertrude, has continued her impactful literacy work, serving language communities throughout New Ireland Province as well as the Notsi people. Her dedication has fostered new opportunities for education and transformation among those she serves.

Kevin, meanwhile, has served as the translation advisor for the Notsi translators as well as serving the New Guinea Islands Bible translation teams as Kavieng Center Manager and providing computer support. Their guidance and expertise with the Notsi were instrumental in the monumental task of translating the New Testament into the Notsi language. With Kevin's and Gertrude’s collaboration, the Notsi translators were able to bring this significant project to completion, marking a major milestone for the Notsi community and for Wycliffe’s broader mission.

On June 25, 2025, Kevin and Gertrude, the Notsi community, and partners in ministry, celebrated the dedication of the Notsi New Testament. This event was the culmination of years of hard work, perseverance, and faith. The Notsi New Testament now stands as a testament to their devotion and offers hope for an enduring impact of their ministry.
