Lyle and Stacey have been serving with Wycliffe Bible Translators since 1986 and served in Papua New Guinea (PNG) from 1994-2019.
The Wyse’s passion is to see God’s Word in every language and in every heart.

Drawing on his extensive experience in aircraft maintenance, aviation safety, and aviation program management, Lyle has taken a leading role since late 2024 in shaping the future of JAARS aviation's service to Bible translation. He is actively developing the JAARS Hub model and guiding the integration of SIL Aviation programs in Papua New Guinea and Cameroon under JAARS Aviation, which is crucial for meeting the immense transportation challenges of Bible translation in numerous isolated communities.

As the SIL Director for Learning and Development, Stacey's work extends globally as she trains, coaches, and mentors individuals online. Across all her roles, Stacey's driving passion is to empower multicultural teams for effective service, fostering open communication and unity in their work for the Lord, ultimately leading to community transformation.

Their children grew up in PNG and are now married and living in America.
