From 1991 through 2015, Mark and Cheryl supported Bible translation in Sentani, Papua, Indonesia. Mark maintained the YAJASI fleet of airplanes, managed the maintenance department, and supervised the building of a new hangar. Cheryl taught math, and sometimes drama, in Hillcrest School. From 2016 through 2023, Mark filled various roles in the Transportation sector of JAARS, focusing primarily on strategy and vision. Mark retired at the end of October 2023. During these years, Cheryl was tasked with maintaining the integrity of the Wycliffe USA Ministry Budget forms and documents, tools to help the members with their ministry budgets. She retired from this delightful and vital role at the end of April 2026 after a year of preparing her young replacement, God’s gift to the team!
