The Oakes family is serving the Lord as missionaries in Cameroon. The unique skill set and experience Aaron has gained from 22 years of military aviation translates well into their Wycliffe ministry. Because of Cameroon's complex terrain with limited transportation infrastructure and overwhelming topography; the use of a helicopter is necessary. It provides a solution for Bible translators, local medical support, and logistic channels. Monica serves as the guidance counselor at the Rain Forest International School (RFIS). The kiddos school, sport, fellowship, and live with their folks in Yaoundé, the capital city of Cameroon.
